This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case on the basis of the complaint dated 18.08.2018 given by the petitioner.

2. Heard, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on 16.08.2018 when the petitioner was driving the Taurus Lorry bearing Registration No. TN 18 AA 7477 near Kamarajar Statue at Thiruvallur, the proposed accused persons came in Skoda Car bearing Registration No. TN 12 S 0666 and intercepted Taurus Lorry and robbed Rs.10,300/-. With regard to the said occurrence, the petitioner has sent a complaint through registered post to the respondent on 18.08.2018, but so far, no action has been taken.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the complaint is still pending for enquiry.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register the case and proceed in accordance with law.

6.With aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
