The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to regularise the petitioners service by disposing of the representation of the petitioners dated 24.05.2017 made to 2nd and 3rd respondents and representation dated 09.09.2017 made to the 1st respondent in person.

According to the petitioners, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd petitioners are working from 24.06.2004, 2.1.1993 and 2.1.19938 respectively in the respondent Corporation continuously. Since after making several representations for regularising their services, the 3rd respondent kept quite, the petitioners approached the Inspector of Labour, Vellore, by moving appropriate application. Finally, an award dated 12.05.2017 was passed, directing the respondent Board to regularise their services. After the receipt of the said award passed by the Inspector of Labour, a representation was given on 24.05.2017 by the petitioners to implement the award. However, the 3rd respondent, on receipt of the representation along with a copy of the award forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent herein, namely, the Chief Engineer, TANGEDCO, Anna Salai, Chennai. Again, there is no response from the 2nd respondent which compelled the petitioners to approach this Court by filing this Writ Petition seeking Mandamus as stated above. 3.
Mrs.Madhri appearing for M/s.T.S.Gopalan and Co., appearing on behalf of the respondents taking notice for the respondents sought six weeks time to consider the representation of the petitioners along with the copy of the award. 4.
In view of the above, the respondents 1 and 2 are hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 24.05.2017 along with the copy of the award passed by the Inspector of Labour, Salem dated 12.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 5.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed.
