ORDER

The petitioners herein, who are accused 1 to 5 in C.C.No.259 of 2012 have come forward with this petition for quashing the final report in C.C.No.259 of 2012 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Vellore. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3.Today, the first petitioner and the second respondent appeared in person and identification of the second respondent is also verified by this Court. Since it is a matrimonial dispute, it was settled between the parties. Now the second respondent has rejoined with her husband/first petitioner. Hence, she does not want to pursue the matter further. She also filed an affidavit to that effect.

4.Recording the affidavit filed by the second respondent, since the matrimonial dispute is settled between the parties, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by allowing the trial to proceed with. Therefore, the final report in C.C.No.259 of 2012 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Vellore, is hereby quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly. kj -s/d- Assistant Registrar(CS-V) True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar To 1.Inspector of Police All Women Police Station Vellore District.
