2.This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to grant preferential rights to the petitioners while conducting an auction for the allotment of shops in the newly constructed bus stand complex at Ariyalur. 3.According to the petitioners, as per Rule 316(11)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, they are entitled for preferential allotment in the newly constructed bus stand complex at Ariyalur. 4.Dr.T.Seenivasan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. On instructions, he would submit that the petitioners have not produced the relevant documents in support of their request for the grant of preferential allotment in the allotment of the shops in the newly constructed bus stand complex at Ariyalur.

5.Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners shall produce all the required documents to the respondents to satisfy the requirements of Rule 316(11)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules in order to enable the petitioners to get preferential rights in the shops newly constructed by the respondents.

6.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioners to submit a fresh representation to the respondents to consider the

request for preferential allotment in respect of the shops at the newly constructed bus stand complex at Ariyalur in accordance with Rule 316(11)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules along with the supporting documents within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said representation from the petitioner within the stipulated time, the second respondent shall consider the same, on merits and in accordance with law and take a final decision by passing a final order as to whether the petitioners are entitled for preferential allotment or not in respect of the shops at the newly constructed bus stand complex at Ariyalur, within a period of four weeks thereafter. No costs.
