ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to investigate and file a final report in Crime No.734 of 2014 on the file of Maraimalai Nagar Police Station, Kancheepuram District.

2. In the petition, it is averred that on 29.10.2014 at about 8.00 p.m., while the petitioner was riding his Scooter bearing registration No.TN 10 AC 5738, his scooter was hit by a Hundai Accent car bearing No.TN 20 AA 4822, which was proceeding in the opposite direction in the service road at Maraimalai Nagar. In the said accident, the petitioner suffered severe injuries. Therefore, a complaint was given to the respondent police regarding the accident and based on the said complaint, a case was registered in Crime No.734 of 2014 on 31.10.2014. But, thereafter, the respondent has not taken any action in the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.734 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
