Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.04.2017 to remove the caption as Government land or acquisition in revenue record to my Land in Survey No. 296/5B Kalapatti Village, Coimbatore North Taluk and issue a Certificate of Nil acquisition to the petitioner. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that he is the owner of the property bearing Survey No.296/5B to an extent of 68.05 cents situated at Kalapatti Village, Coimbatore North Taluk and the petitioner purchased from his vendor Tmt.Bhathmavathi and Renuka Devi and others through a sale deed dated 16.07.1991 in document No.4201/1991 registered before the Sub-Registrar Officer, Gandhipuram.
2.The writ petitioner was not clear in respect of the status of the land in view of the fact that there was a proposal for acquisition of the land. However, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the acquisition proceedings were https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
dropped. In this regard, the writ petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 10.04.2017 to inform the status of the land to the writ petitioner, enabling him to deal with his own property. However, no reply has been given so far. 3.In this view of the matter and without going into the merits of the case, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 10.04.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
