ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to complete the enquiry in Na.Ka.2779/2020/A5 dated 22.01.2021 within a time frame fixed by this Court and consequentially issue patta in the name of the petitioner herein.

2. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property which was acquired through his ancestor. As there was lot of sub divisions in S.No.734/1, the patta was erroneously reflecting in the name of the 3rd respondent. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner made a representation to the District Collector, Kancheepuram on 12.02.2020 to take necessary action for removal of the same. The said representation was forwarded to the second respondent. On direction of the second respondent, the petitioner submitted all such relevant documents. But thereafter, no further action was forthcoming Page No.2 of 4

from the second respondent. Hence, this Writ Petition.

4. Heard Mr.K.M.Mrithun Jayan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Surendar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the proceedings has already been initiated to resolve the issue raised by the petitioner.

6. In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to complete the proceedings and pass orders on its own merits, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
