By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to give effect to the transfer order passed by the 1st respondent in C.No.A1/6086/1GP.No.2015 Z.O.No.96/2015, dated 06.10.2015, by relieving the petitioner from D-1, Chengalpet Police Station, Kancheepuram District, to enable him to report at Thiruvallur District, forthwith.

3. The petitioner entered into service as a Constable in the year 1988. In the year 2013, he was promoted as Special SubInspector of Police. Subsequently, he was transferred to Chengalpet. He made a representation to the 1st respondent to transfer him to Thiruvallur District, on health ground, and the same was considered by order, dated 06.10.2015. But, till date, the said order was not communicated to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner's daughter submitted a representation to the 2nd respondent, on 24.02.2016, requesting to give effect to the transfer order. But, there is no response and hence, the Writ Petition.

Mr.R.S.Anandan, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he would be satisfied, if the representation of the petitioner's daughter, dated 24.02.2016, seeking to relieve the petitioner from Chengalpet to enable him to report at Thiruvallur District, is directed to be considered and appropriate orders are passed.

5. Mr.P.Chinnadurai, the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that he has got no objection in directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner's daughter and to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law.

6. Taking into consideration the above submission made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner's daughter, dated 24.02.2016, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
