ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.1999 of 2015 and file a final report before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. In the petition, it is averred that one S.Arokiyasamy and his wife A.Jayakodi approached the petitioner herein and promised him to get an appointment as teacher in a Government school. Believing their words, the petitioner has given a sum of Rs.7,00,000/- to them during the month of June, 2013. However, no appointment order was issued to the petitioner as promised them. Hence, the petitioner gave a complaint to the first respondent police on 13.4.2015 and the first respondent police called the said Arokiyasamy for enquiry. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

During enquiry, the said Arokiyasamy requested 30 days time for return of the amount. After the lapse of 30 days, when the petitioner went to the house of the said Arokiyasamy, he found that the door was locked and the said Arokiyasamy absconded from that place. Hence, again he was constrained to give a complaint to the second respondent herein and the same was registered in Crime No.1999 of 2015 on 17.7.2015. Even after a lapse of three months, there was no progress in completing the investigation. Hence, the present petition.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the case was registered only in the year 2015.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.1999 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
