O R D E R

The present petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 29.09.2015 and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and to file a final report in a time framed manner.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was a construction worker involved in construction of building activities in the local area at Uthukottai. On 2.7.2009, while he was working as a labour in the site belongs to one Venkatesan, he fell down from a ladder and sustained injuries and was given treatment in Government General Hospital. He preferred a complaint before the respondent police on 29.06.2011,but the same was not registered. Again, a complaint was given by the petitioner on 29.09.2015 but till date, the respondent has not registered the complaint. Hence, the present petition.

3. From the averments made in the petition, it could be seen that the petitioner had lodged a complaint after a lapse of six years. Absolutely, no reason was given for the said delay. Under such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to give any direction to the respondent Police. Hence, the criminal original petition is dismissed.
