Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law by disposing the written representation made by the petitioners on 23.10.2013 within a stipulated period.

ORDER

The petitioners are said to be the purchasers of specific extent of land in the years 1986 and 2000. After coming to know that assignment patta has been issued by the first respondent, followed by sub division, the petitioners made written representation on 23.10.2013 seeking to issue the assignment patta after sub dividing the land. As the said request is still pending consideration, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the written representation made by the petitioners on 23.10.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners are directed to furnish the copy of the representation dated 23.10.2015 along with this order within a period of two weeks. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
