Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third and fourth respondents to conduct an enquiry to maintain law and order to the public peace, and further direct the fourth respondent to give adequate protection for offering food event at the premises of B.Mallapuram Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple situated at S.No.42/3B, B.Mallapuram Village, Pappireddipatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District as well as to the society and consider the representation dated 05.04.2025.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the third and fourth respondents to conduct an enquiry to maintain law and order for public peace, and further direct the fourth respondent to give adequate protection for a food event at the premises of B. Mallapuram Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple, situated at S.No.42/3B, B. Mallapuram Village, Pappireddipatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District, as well as to the society, and consider the representation dated 05.04.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first to fourth respondents and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for in the petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, directs the third and fourth respondents to consider the representation dated 05.04.2025 made by the petitioner after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the fifth respondent and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
