C O M M O N O R D E R These Contempt Petitions have been filed to punish the respondent herein for the act of contempt by gross violation and disobedience of the order dated 02.03.2018 passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.29256 and 29257of 2014 by detaining them in a civil prison for a period not exceeding six months, thereby quashing the impugned orders and directed the petitioners to appear before the respondent on 14.03.2018 and the respondent is directed to pass final order after hearing the petitioners.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent has no power to consider the request of the petitioners to issue patta and the petitioners may be directed to appear before the regular Tahsildar.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the petitioners are directed to appear before the Tahsildar, Gudiyatham, Vellore District on 06.10.2021 and submit their representation along with the relevant documents. On receipt of the same, the Tahsildar, Gudiyatham, Vellore District is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter in the light of the order passed by this Court dated 02.03.2018 in W.P.Nos.29256 and 29257of 2014.

4. With the above directions, these Contempt Petitions are disposed of.
