ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner had developed software for TFT Block Chain Services Private Limited for crypto currency exchange. Under the crypto currency trading, three persons have been cheated and the amount involved runs to several lakhs. Hence, an FIR in Crime No.12 of 2025 has been registered. Pursuant to the registration of the FIR, the petitioner was called for enquiry through summons.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already appeared before the respondent Police and he is ready to appear again as and when required.
4. In reply, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that two summons were issued to the petitioner, but he has not responded to the same.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that the petitioner was called for enquiry only pursuant to the registration
of the case in Crime No.12 of 2025 and therefore, it cannot be termed as harassment. It is for the petitioner to appear before the respondent Police and offer his explanation.
