O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 324 and 506(ii) in Crime No.553 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that due to wordy quarrel, the petitioner along with other accused persons, attacked the defacto complainant with knife on his leg and neck. As a result, he sustained grievous injuries. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner along with three other accused were assaulted the defacto complainant with knife. Due to which, he sustained multiple injuries in his left leg and neck. He would further submit that he has suffered 15 suture in his neck and the injured has been discharged from the hospital due to Corona Pandemic.He would submit that there is one previous case. Hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the petitioner had committed serious offence and the victim has suffered with multiple cut injuries in the hand, leg and neck and that there is a previous case pending as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
