The petitioner's land, bearing Plot No. 602, Sri Alamelumangapuram Colony in Survey No. 235/7, measuring an extnt of 0.05 1⁄2 cents (2400 sq.ft) in Sholinganallur Village, now Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, was acquired, along with other lands, by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board for the purpose of implementation of Sholinganallur Neighbourhood Scheme. Eventhough the award was passed in Award No. 1/93 on 15.06.1993 by the 2nd respondent, no amount was paid to the petitioner as compensation. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation on 30.08.2005 requesting the 2nd respondent to pay the compensation amount. However, no orders were passed and therefore, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner was compelled to sent another representation on 09.11.2015 seeking compensation payable to her, which was of no avail. Hence, the petitioner sent a lawyer's notice dated 29.01.2016 to the respondents. Since, it did not evoke any response, the petitioner has come before this Court. 2.
When the writ petition is taken up for hearing today, Mr.Vivekavanan, learned counsel appearing for Tamil Nadu Housing Board would submit that the petitioner's claim is being processed and the amount will be paid within a period of four weeks. 3.
Recording the above submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to pay the compensation amount to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
