This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

3. It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that only for enquiry, the summons have been issued and the respondent police are not harassing the petitioner.

4. Such being the position, the petitioner is directed to appear before the police within a week and if the police finds that it is purely a civil dispute, there is no business for the police to coerce the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, if any petition pertaining to the recovery of money is pending, the same shall be closed and the police shall not act as a collecting agent.
