The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass a considered order on the application given by the petitioner dated 22.7.2015 and for consequential relief, directing the respondent to issue a corrected Passport in favour of the petitioner pertaining to Passport No.H2537977 as per the representation dated 22.7.2015. 2.
The case of the petitioner is that he has issued with a Passport bearing No.H2537977 giving the validity up to 12.02.2019 by the Regional Passport Officer, Aminjikarai, Chennai under Thakkal Scheme. In that passport, the place of birth of the petitioner is shown as Cuddalore instead of K.G.Hospital, Triplicane, Chennai. Therefore, he has given a representation dated 22.7.2015 to the respondent to correct the said major mistake occurred in the passport. But no response is forthcoming for the same. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition.

Mr.A.K.Manoj Kumar, learned Central Government Standing Counsel taking notice for the respondent submitted that the petitioner may be directed to give a fresh representation along with her birth certificate to consider his case. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation along with a copy of this order, her birth certificate and xerox copy of the passport within a period of one week. On receipt of the same, the respondent will consider the same and pass necessary orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one week thereafter.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
