O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 4th and 5th respondents not to take steps to cancel the work order issued in favour of the petitioner on 04.09.2020.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he was the Panchayat President of the Panchayat Union and he was serving in that position till the year 2016. The further case of the petitioner is that 4th respondent had issued a work order, dated 04.09.2020. Even before this work order could be acted upon, steps were taken to cancel the work order and issue a fresh work order and therefore, the present writ petition was filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3.Even though, this Court is not convinced with the locus standi of the petitioner who has filed a writ petition of this nature, a specific stand has been taken by the 4th and 5th respondents in the counter affidavit to the effect that they have not taken any proceedings so far to cancel the work order issued in favour of one Narayanan through proceedings dated 04.09.2020.

4.Recording the stand taken by the 4th and 5th respondents, this writ petition is closed. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
