[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's brother Jayaprakash S/o.Ragaan, aged about 49 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his brother Jayaprakash left home on 31.08.2020 saying that he is going to Thiruvannamalai, but did not return thereafter. On these allegations, a written complaint was given by the petitioner, based on which, a case in Otteri P.S.Crime No.4181 of 2020 was registered on 06.09.2020 for 'man missing'. the petitioner has filed the present petition on 09.09.2020 for production of his brother Jayaprakash.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that while investigation in Otteri P.S.Crime No.4181 of 2020 was in progress, the police have received information about an unclaimed body in Chengalpattu Town P.S.Crime No.3887/2020 and on investigation, it came to light that the said dead body was that of Jayaprakash. After investigation, the body was handed over to the family of Jayaprakash on 19.09.2020.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
