Claiming to be the legal heirs of the assignee under the Bhoodan Yagna Act, the petitioners made a representation on 13.02.2013 to the 2nd respondent alleging that the respondent nos.7 to 9 have illegally encroached upon the same. The Personal Assistant to the District Collector has also addressed a letter on 12.11.2013 to the respondent no.5 to take appropriate action and send a report. As, despite the same, no follow up action has been taken, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 2.Taking into consideration the same and taking note of the pendency of the representation, a direction is issued to the District Collector, Thiruvallur District to take appropriate action pursuant to the communication of the respondent no.2 dated 17.09.2013 in Na.Ka.No.154/ 2013/K1, after obtaining the report from the respondent no.5, if not already done and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioners as well as to the respondent nos.7 to 9.
