ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to withdraw and transfer I.D.O.P. No.2 of 2026 from the file of the Family Court, Thoothukudi, to the file of the Family Court, Chennai.

2. The petitioner/wife seeks transfer of I.D.O.P. No.2 of 2026 from the Family Court, Thoothukudi, to the Family Court, Chennai, where a maintenance case already filed by her is pending.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent also appeared and submitted that, as on date, the respondent is in the USA, but he is inclined to appear through video conferencing. It is also submitted that he has paid a sum of Rs.15,000/- towards interim maintenance.

4. Considering the submissions made by both sides, I.D.O.P. No.2 of 2026 is transferred to the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai. The maintenance case pending before the V Additional Family Court, Chennai, is also directed to be transferred to the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai.

5. Both parties are at liberty to appear through video conferencing. Accordingly, this petition is allowed. No order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
