O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.1378 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, M 3 Puzhal Police Station (Crime Branch), Madhavaram, Chennai, for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
2. The allegation in the First Information Report is that the petitioner had cheated the defacto complainant. Hence, a case has been registered in Crime No.1378 of 2021, for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. Heard Mr.K.Anandharaja, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Leonard Arul Joseph Selvam, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the first respondent. Second respondent in person is present before this Court.
4. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, petitioner with his counsel were present. Second respondent appeared in person. Mr.C.Chelladurai, Sub-Inspector of Police, M 3 Puzhal Police Station (Crime Branch), Page No:2/5

5. The Petitioner and defacto complainant had filed affidavits, to the effect that they have compromised the disputes pending them and now both of them are in cordial relationship.
6. On enquiry, the petitioner and defacto complainant submitted that they have amicably settled the matter, outside the Court and prays this Court to quash the case pending against the petitioner in Crime No.1378 of 2021, on the file of the first respondent.
7. A perusal of the affidavits would indicate that both the petitioner and defacto complainant have settled the disputes amicably, with the help of elders and well wishers.
8. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, as the matter has been settled between the parties, this Court is inclined to quash all the proceedings emanating from Crime No.1378 of 2021, pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, M 3 Puzhal Police Station (Crime Branch) Madhavaram, Page No:3/5
Chennai, first respondent.
9. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and Crime No.1378 of 2021, pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, M 3 Puzhal Police Station (Crime Branch) Madhavaram, Chennai, first respondent, is quashed. Affidavits of the petitioner and defacto complainant, shall form part of the records.
