PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 23.06.2017 and thereby direct the respondents police to continue the necessary medical care and treatment to the petitioner's husband Syed Mohamed Ali @ Rafiq, who is custody at the Central Prison, Puzhal.

Mr.D.Vairamoorthy, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondent and by consent of both the counsel, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner's husband who is in custody at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, has given a representation to the third respondent on 23.06.2017, requesting not to transfer him to any other prison in view of his medical condition and also in the background of the earlier order passed by this Court, whereby the second respondent herein was directed to evaluate the present condition of the petitioner's husband and take him to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the Government Super Specialty Hospital, if required.
3. Since, the second respondent has not responded to the petitioner's representation till date, it would be appropriate to direct the second respondent to consider it expeditiously.
4. Hence, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With these observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
