Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Kancheepuram to expedite the proceedings in CC.No.133 of 2024 arising out of crime No.10 of 2024 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Kancheepuram and to complete the same within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Kancheepuram to expedite the proceedings in CC.No.133 of 2024 arising out of crime No.10 of 2024 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Kancheepuram and to complete the same within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The petitioner had filed a complaint before the respondent police, on which FIR was registered in crime No.10 of 2024. Thereafter, final report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Kancheepuram in CC.No.133 of 2024. Since the same has not been considered by the said Court, the petitioner filed this petition.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition, the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Kancheepuram, is directed to complete the Trial in CC.No.133 of 2024, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
