O R D E R

Ms. P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of the learned counsel for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Seeking permission to conduct a temple festival, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate has produced a communication, dated 26.08.2015, from the respondent stating the dispute between the two rivalry groups is being resolved by a Peace Committee Meeting, headed by the Tahsildar, Udayarpalayam, Ariyalur District. It is also submitted that giving permission to conduct this Temple festival would lead to law and order problem.

4. In view of submission made and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court hereby directs the Tahsildar, Udayarpalayam, Ariyalur District, to conclude the Peace Committee Meeting, by calling both the groups and try to resolve the dispute, and based upon the decision to be arrived at, in the Peace Committee Meeting, appropriate permission may be considered.
