ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the 2nd Respondent to take immediate steps and issue necessary forms pursuant to the proceedings of 1st Respondent dated 25.07.2019 in Na.Ka / A4 / 2201 / 2019 and consequently direct the 1st and 2nd Respondents to remove the encroachments and constructions in Survey No. 37, Kalavanur Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Villupuram.
2. The Revenue Tahsildar, Ulundurpet has addressed a letter to the Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department on 25.07.2019 for removal of encroachment made in the temple properties. However, no further action has been initiated. Subsequently, the Revenue Authorities found that the land belongs to Government and classified as Government Poramboke.
3. That being the factum the Tahsildar/ 1st respondent is directed to conduct inspection, survey and identify the encroachments in Government Poramboke land and thereafter initiate enforcement actions for removal of encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under the Statute and Rules in force. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
