Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the second respondent herein to register a case based on the complaint dated 30.08.2018 given by the petitioner and investigate the matter in accordance with law.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 30.08.2018.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is working in a private company. In the year 2016, one Vijayaraghavan approached the petitioner and told that he will marry her. Subsequently, he refused to marry her and also threatened that he will post the photos in the social media and hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 30.08.2018, but so far, no action has been taken in this case.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side) has submitted that the petitioner's complaint is still pending for enquiry.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry. If the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then, he has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law.
