This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.10.2015 and take appropriate legal action in accordance with law.

2. It is seen that, the petitioner lodged a complaint against Panchayat President Jagaber Sadik and his associates Mohamed Siddik and Abdul Akeem alleging that on 06.10.2015 at about 3.00 p.m., when the petitioner visited the bazaar, the said persons intercepted the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner, scolded him in filthy language and asked him how can he file a case against them? and also threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police through registered post on 07.10.2015. But no action has been taken by the respondent police till date. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint has been sent by registered post.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate to direct the petitioner to submit a fresh copy of the complaint along with a copy of this order to the 3rd respondent and on receipt of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to enquire the matter and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, the 3rd respondent is directed to proceed further in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
