Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct the local body election to the Eachankuppam Panchayat, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District as per the draft voter list dated 01.09.2016 published by the third respondent and consequently direct the 1/4

respondents 1 to 3 to delete the bogus voters which is included by the fourth respondent and reflected in the draft voters list dated 17.09.2016 towards the forthcoming local body election of Eachankuppam Panchayat, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct the local body election to the Eachankuppam Panchayat, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District as per the draft voter list dated 01.09.2016 published by the third respondent and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 to delete the bogus voters which is included by the fourth respondent and reflected in the draft voters list dated 17.09.2016 towards the forthcoming local body election of Eachankuppam Panchayat, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 & 3 2/4

submitted that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.
