Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for Writ of Mandamus for directing the third respondent to dispose of petitioner's Second Appeal dated 03.09.2020 vide S.A.No.7201/D/2020 under the Right to Information Act, 2005 based upon his reminder letter dated 11.03.2022.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for limited relief.

2. Mr.T.Seenivasan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1, 2, 4 & 5 and Mr.C.Vigneswaran, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondent 3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner seeks for early disposal of the second appeal in S.A.No.7201/D/2020 dated 03.09.2020 filed under the Right to Information Act, 2005. The petitioner has sent a reminder letter dated 11.03.2022 to the third respondent requesting the third respondent for early disposal of S.A.No.7201/D/2020. Since the appeal has not been disposed of till date, despite the reminder, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.A.Prakash, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.T.Seenivasan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1, 2, 4 & 5 and Mr.C.Vigneswaran, learned Government Advocate for the respondent 3.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the second appeal in S.A.No.7201/D/2020 filed by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act, 2005 is disposed of expeditiously.

6. Accordingly, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's statutory Second Appeal in S.A.No.7201/D/2020 filed on 03.09.2020 under the Right To Information Act, 2005 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
