Writ petition has been filed under 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the fifth respondent to consider the representation preferred by the petitioner dated 08.08.2015 in the light of Sections 171 and 172 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994 and further direct the respondents 1 to 4 to monitor the same.

ORDER
By consent of both parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that he is residing at Door No.139, IV Main Street, Rehabilitation Centre, B II Block, Phase I, Indira Nagar, Neyveli and he purchased a plot and constructed a house. The petitioner also obtained ration card, voter I.D. and electricity connection. While so when the petitioner approached the fifth respondent for payment of house tax, he refused to receive the same. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is not able to avail the government benefits because of non-production of house tax and property tax receipts. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.08.2015 to the respondents. Since no action has been taken on his representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel for respondents 4 and 5.
4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the representation, the fifth respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.08.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
