Earlier, this Court by an order dated 13.03.2023 granted the relief of suspension of sentence on condition that the petitioner shall surrender before the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai within two weeks and to furnish sufficient sureties. However, today when the matter taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for petitioner would submit that the certified copy of the order dated 13.03.2023, which was made ready by the registry on 29.03.2023, since the above order got mixed up with other papers. Hence, the petitioner could not able to comply the said condition within two weeks. Accordingly, he filed the present petition to extend the time granted by this Court.
2. Considering his submissions, this petition is ordered and time is extended to the petitioner till 15.05.2023 to surrender before the V Metropolitan Magistrate and for furnishing sureties, from the date on which, the order copy made ready.
