Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from in any manner filling up the post of Assistant by the 3rd respondent in the Periyar University, Periyar Palgalainagar, Salem by direct recruitment and consequently direct the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioner as Assistant in the Periyar University, Periyar Palgalainagar, Salem.

Though W.M.P. is listed for disposal, by consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner has made a submission that the respondents 2 and 3 are not permitting him to join duty. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 opposed the contention by stating that there is no impediment for the writ petitioner to join duty immediately and if he approaches the 2nd and 3rd respondents with a joining report, he will be permitted to join duty. Accordingly, it is left open to the writ petitioner to produce a joining report to the respondents 2 and 3 and accordingly, the respondents 2 & 3 shall permit the writ petitioner to join duty.
3. With the above observations, the writ petition stands closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
