O R D E R

The petitioner is an association of the retired Government Servants. A representation was made on 04.07.2012 by the petitioner stating that the benefits have been given by taking into consideration of the service put in as Secondary Grade Teacher and the Primary School Headmaster at Selection Grade and Special grade as

on 01.06.1988 by passing a Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.210, School Education Department, dated 14.08.2009, and G.O.Ms.No.146, Education Department (G-1), dated 19.06.2012, only to those who approached this Court.

2. Seeking extension of the benefits given in the above said two Government Orders to other similarly placed teachers since retired, the petitioner made a request. As the said representations dated 26.06.2012 and 04.07.2012 are not considered, the present writ petition is filed before this Court.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a direction may be issued to the respondent to dispose of the said representations of the petitioner for implementation of the G.O.Ms.No.210, School Education Department, dated 14.08.2009, and G.O.Ms.No.146, Education Department (G-1), dated 19.06.2012, with reference to the similarly placed retired teachers.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, by accepting the notice on behalf of the respondent, submitted that pending representations of the petitioner would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the above said submissions of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the pending representations of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to give copies of the said representations, including a copy of this order, to the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
