ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to register and investigate the complaint dated 8.8.2014, given by the petitioner and to take appropriate action against the persons, who are threatening the life of the petitioner and to file a detailed report before this Court within a stipulated time.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 8.8.2014 as against one Arun Raj Kumar Fredrik stating that he is threatening him with dire consequences. Though the said complaint was given in the year 2014, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the petition.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the entire allegation made in the complaint is pertaining to civil dispute.
4. But, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner denied the same and submitted that the allegation of threat has also been mentioned in the complaint.
5. In view of the submission made on either side, this Court directs the fourth respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 8.8.2014 given by the petitioner in respect of the allegation of threat and during the course enquiry, if there are materials indicating commission of any cognizable offence, then he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible. Further, on enquiry, if the fourth respondent finds that no offence is made out, he is directed to pass appropriate orders. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
