O R D E R

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file a charge sheet against the accused in Crime No.198 of 2014.

2. In the petition it has been stated that the petitioner herein lodged a complaint on 08.07.2015 against one Narasima Naidu and 6 others alleging that they have threatened the petitioner. The said complaint was registered in Crime No.198 of 2014 for offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC on the file of the respondent. Since there is no action taken by the respondent thereafter, the petitioner has come forward to file this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate to direct the respondent to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 08.07.2014 given by the petitioner, if enquiry was not conducted so far and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, the respondent is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
