This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register a case, investigate and provide police protection to the life and property of the petitioner based on his complaint dated 02.08.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that, on the complaint given by the petitioner, petition enquiry was conducted by the 3rd respondent Police in CSR.No.424 of 2016 by calling both the parties and that the opposite party has been warned by the Police not to demand illegal payments from the petitioner.

4. Recording the same, this petition is closed. However, if there is any further threat or demand of mamool from that group, it is open to the petitioner to lodge a fresh complaint before the 3rd respondent Police and on such complaint being given, the same shall be enquired into and the petitioner shall be given sufficient Police protection.
