By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioners would state among other things that originally, one C.M.B.Jaya, was the absolute owner of the property admeasuring to an extent of 36.5 acres comprised in SF.No.944/1A, Kalapatti Village, Coimbatore Taluk and from her, they have purchased the said property by means of a registered Sale Deed bearing Document No.2498/2003 dated 10.07.2003 [SRO, Gandhipuram] and claimed to be in possession and enjoyment of the said property and a joint patta was also issued in their favour bearing Patta No.1239. The petitioners would further state that they in turn, partitioned the property among themselves by way of a registered Partition Deed bearing Document No.8544/2014 dated 20.11.2014 [SRO, Gandhipuram] and thereafter, though they applied to the respondent for issuance of individual pattas through a representation/application dated 03.05.2016 and though it was

acknowledged by the respondent on 12.05.2016, no orders are passed and hence, the petitioners are constrained to approach this Court by filing the present writ petition. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.V.S.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. Though the petitioners prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent herein to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 03.05.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioners.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
