Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein more particularly the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds as per the recommendation of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.408/A1/2015, dated 08.03.2017 and accordingly appoint the petitioner.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of Mandamus by directing the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds as per the recommendation of the third respondent dated 08.03.2017.

2.Consequent to the death of the father of the writ petitioner late S. Kalaiarasan, on 19.10.2014, while he was in service, the petitioner submitted an Application seeking compassionate appointment to the respondent. The said Application for compassionate appointment was processed by respondents and the same was duly recommended by the third respondent to the second respondent in proceeding Na.Ka.No.408/A1/2015, dated 8th March 2017.

3.Though the case of the writ petitioner was duly recommended to the second respondent on 8th March 2017, the second respondent has not taken any decision for the past three months and the family of the petitioner is in indigent circumstances.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the Application submitted by the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment along with the recommendation sent by the third respondent and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
