Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.06.2014 and 02.08.2016 in the light of the direction of this Court in WP.No.20775/2014 within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.T.S.Moorthy, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

Learned Additional Advocate General has invited the attention of this Court to G.O.[4D] No.22, Home [Police III] Department, dated 16.02.2017 and would submit that the order passed by this Court dated 24.01.2017, has been complied with and hence, prays for closure of the writ petition. Per contra, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the light of the said orders, the notional https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

benefits accrued in favour of the petitioner may be directed to be paid.

The learned Additional Advocate General, on instructions, would submit that the consequential notional benefits will be paid to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The said submission, on instructions, is placed on record and the respondents are directed to confer the notional benefits accrued on account of the above cited Government Order to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the light of compliance of the order of this Court, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
