The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 13.10.2015, investigate the same in accordance with law and file a final report before the
appropriate Court.
2. The petitioner is running a Travels and during the month of January 2014, one Mr.Ravindrakumar approached the petitioner for hiring a car for monthly rent. The petitioner has also agreed for the same and the said Ravindhrakumar hired TATA INDIGO Car bearing Registration No.TN-01-AH-3510 for a monthly rent of Rs.20,600/-. But the said Ravindrakumar paid the monthly rent only for few months and thereafter, he has not paid the rent. He has also not returned the car. On the other hand, he started to threatened the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the said person on 13.10.2015. Since no action was taken by the respondents on the said complaint, the petitioner came forward to file this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondents.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the matter was compromised between the parties and the counter petitioner undertook to pay the arrears of rent amounting to Rs.1,40,000/- in three installments.
5. Since the matter was compromised between the parties and the complaint was closed by the respondents, I am of the opinion that nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Hence, recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed.
