ORDER

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file the final report in Crime No.1268/11 within the stipulated time.

2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against one Suresh on 22.12.2011. Based on the said complaint, the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.1268 of 2011 for the offences under sections 192, 193, 196, 198, 199, 209, 463, 465, 466, 468, 471, 474 and 496 IPC. But there is no progress in the investigation of the case till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that inspite of intimation sent to respondent, the respondent has not come forward with any instructions.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is constrained to pass the following order : https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The respondent police is directed to expedite investigation in the case in Crime No.1268 of 2011 and complete the same and file a final report as early as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
