Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to identify a land at Puzhuthivakkam-Ullagaram area, Chennai and the same to hand over to the 2nd respondent for install an Electricity Sub-Station and also direct 1st respondent to install an Electricity Sub-Station in the place identified by 2nd respondent.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) We are informed that even the second proposal for setting up of sub-station did not materialise because that was a river bank. Learned counsel appearing for the second respondentCorporation states that if an appropriate land is identified, the land would be made available.

2.Learned counsel appearing for the first respondent / TANGEDCO states that they are in the process of identifying other locations. We direct the said respondent to make out a proposal for a suitable location within three (3) months from the date of receipt of the order and on the appropriate land being identified, the Corporation will take necessary steps within three (3) months thereafter.

3.In so far as the prayer made in the writ petition is concerned, that was for identifying the land and handing over to the second respondent the land for installation of Electricity Sub-Station. This prayer is sub-served by the aforesaid directions passed by us.
