This petition has been filed for a direction to respondents to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 25.09.2015 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner was working in Wheels India Private Limited, Padi, Chennai. In the year 2009, he was elected as President of Trade Union. He became popular among the workmen. This was not liked by the Management. Hence, they suspended the petitioner on 21.11.2014. One Karunakaran, Vice President shouted at the petitioner by mentioning his caste name. The petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 25.09.2015, but till date no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present petition.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Assistant Commissioner, Ambattur, is conducting enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ambattur, to conduct the enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law. In the course of enquiry, if no prima facie case is made out or the matter is civil in nature, he is directed to pass appropriate orders on the complaint made by the petitioner.

5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
