Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents particularly the third respondents to depute a competent surveyor to survey and fix the boundaries in respect of the lands owned by the petitioners comprised in Survey No.89/2 measuring 87 cents situated in Vanjuvancherry Village, Kundrathur Taluk, Vaipur Panchayat Union, Kancheepuram District by considering the representation dated 20.02.2026 of the petitioners For Petitioner(s):

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2026.

2. Mr.M.Senthamizh Selvan, learned Government's counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal in the stage of admission itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner filed a representation dated 20.02.2026 before the respondents, requesting them to depute a competent surveyor to survey and fix the boundaries in respect of the subject lands. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the 1st respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

5. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of within a period of 8 weeks and hence, she requests this Court to pass appropriate orders.

6. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

7. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.02.2026 and complete the survey at subject land by deputing competent surveyor, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent for conducting survey and laying boundary stones at the subject land. If there is any dispute with regard to the possession over the said property, the same has to be decided only by way of filing a suit before an appropriate Civil Court.

9. If any police protection is required at the time of conducting survey, the official respondents are granted liberty to avail the same by approaching the jurisdictional police station. In such case, the concerned police officer shall provide all necessary assistance to the official respondents till the completion of survey at the subject land.

10. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
