This petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.1525 of 2016 pending on the file of the respondent Police.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the charge sheet has been filed on 28.01.2025 before the learned XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the learned XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore is directed to take cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the respondent Police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and complete the trial within a period of three months thereafter.
