Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to secure the body of the detenue who is the minor, R.usha, daughter of P.Raja, 17 years, from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent and produce her before this Court for the entrustment of the lawful custody to her father/petitioner herein.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by RMT. TEEKAA RAMAN, J) The petitioner, is the father of the minor detenue Usha, aged about 17 years [DOB 22.05.2001] and alleging her illegal custody and detention at the hands of the respondents 3 and 4, came forward to file the present habeas corpus petition. Today, the detenue Usha has been secured and produced before this Court by the respondent police.

On enquiry, the detenue Usha would state that she was in love with one of her friend and she went along with him on her own volition and today, at the instance of police, she came to the Court. She also expressed her willingness to go along with her father, the petitioner herein, who was identified by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as by the 2nd respondent police.

Recording the statement of the detenue of her willingness to go along with her father/the petitioner herein, the Habeas Corpus petition is closed.
