The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the First Respondent to pass appropriate orders in the application dated 21.12.2015 filed by the Petitioner under Section 17(1) of the Working Journalists and other News paper Employees (Conditions of Service and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1955, in accordance with law.

It has been brought to notice that after the filing of the Writ Petition, the dispute raised by the Petitioner has a been referred for adjudication by the First Respondent by G.O. (Ms). No 50 dated 20.03.2017 to the Principal Labour Court, Chennai and its copy has been produced. In such circumstances, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that nothing remains for further consideration in the matter and he has made an endorsement to that effect in the court record. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
