ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 21.01.2025 and cancel patta No.694 in the name of 4th respondent in respect of house site in West Street, Vaitheeswaran Kovil Village Seerkali Taluk, Mayiladuthurai district, comprised in Survey No.131/3 now in New Survey No.409, measuring an extent of 2622 sq.ft.

Though the writ of Mandamus states that there is an appeal dated 21.01.2025, but it is clarified by the learned Special Government Pleader for respondents that the petitioner has submitted a representation against issuance of patta in the name of the 4th respondent and that the above representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed after putting the petitioner and 4th respondent on notice and after affording them an opportunity of hearing within the time period to be fixed by this Court. 2/4

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner against issuance of patta in the name of 4th respondent on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, 4th respondent and any other interested persons/stake holders, within a period of 16 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
